Details
I/O: Two optical fibers per link; SFP modules (850nm or 1300nm, 1000Base types, single mode or multimode) installed in the MADI module slot of compatible units
Notes: FLAG: DADlink is NOT a standalone hardware product — it is a proprietary optical audio/data interconnect format/protocol (<100ns latency, 237dB dynamic range claimed) implemented via an SFP module installed in the MADI module slot of compatible units (AX64, AX Center, Core 256, AX32, Penta 720, Penta 721s). Included per task instructions to cover DADlink, but device_class 'Stagebox / Expander' is a forced-fit choice since none of the allowed categories describe an interconnect protocol/module; no meaningful specs like rack_units, controls, or price apply. Announced at AES 2023 per press coverage, not DAD's own page (flagged as inference for year_intro). No standalone USD price exists since it ships as a module option on other products.
